Which American produce/corporations have spread to other countries around the world? What is it about American produce/corporation that have caused them to spread (as opposed to other products/corporation)?
Coca Cola is all over the World. It is in more than 200 countries available. But the drink is no where exactly the same, for example taste the coke in China different than in Germany or United States of America. It might spread out, because it is totally famous in the USA and they wanted to earn more money and made it international in a few bigger countries. It was so successful that they produce or sell it everywhere.
What positive and negative impacts do these products/corporations have? How they alter local cultures?
When the Companies sell their products Internationale in many other countries, the might loss their peculiarity. For example Starbucks, the stores look exactly a like in countries like the USA, England and Germany. A positive impact might be that the store is always familiar to someone, but one the other hand this stores are boring, because they are always the same.
Why is the american market is so dominant?
I would say why the american market is so dominant is, because it is one of the largest in the World, the wealth of the US economy, is one of the richest countries in the world, and one of the largest in terms of population makes the US markets so dominant. And an other factor would be the ability to speak English, because it is spoken all over the world.
What role do other countries play in cultural globalization? How do other countries contribute to American culture?
In terms Of the early of the US other countries, like Spain or the Netherlands came and taught them their religious practices, language and culture.
Do you feel uncomfortable or threatened by foreign products? Why or why not? Do you think other Americans are? Why or why not?
I don't feel threaten by other products, because today products are available in many countries. I'm open for products from other countries, because they are might be pretty good and maybe better than the homemade products. I really do not know if Americans are threaten by foreign products, but I think it is mostly not, that they're feel uncomfortable. I know that some Americans prefer German chocolate than the american one.
